Architectural Consultant
The Architectural Consultant will promote ASSA ABLOY Door
Security Solutions brands and consulting services to the
architectural community with the objective of increasing the market
awareness and penetration of related ASSA ABLOY products.

Actively solicit "Opening" specification writing opportunities
including: door hardware, steel door and frame, wood
door and electrified access control systems from architectural
firms, contract hardware distributors and end user customers.
Established goals will be set for annual specification and opening
leads generated, corresponding to experience and
marketplace.

Routinely update architectural firm libraries with the latest
ASSA ABLOY operating company catalogs and related marketing
material.

Conduct on-going educational seminars (AIA/CES) and product
training events to multiple design team decision makers and
influencers.

Co-ordinate and assist with product substitution and approval
procedures in order to increase project bidding opportunities for
related ASSA ABLOY products. Established goals will be set
for annual number of approval requests within targeted market
segments.

Interact and communicate with the local Door Security Solutions
agency concerning architectural sales calls, specification bid
coverage, end user specification guides and design standards,
project tracking, sales growth objectives and related market
strategies.

Actively participate and network in local industry professional
organizations (CSI, AIA, DHI).
Position Qualifications

College degree strongly preferred with high school diploma/GED a
minimum requirement.

Minimum 2 years industry related (i.e. commercial construction
or building products) experience.

Door and Hardware Institute accreditation as an AHC, CDC
or EHC and/or Construction Specification Institute
certification as a CDT or CCPR is a plus. Actively working
towards professional industry credentials will be a requirement of
successful candidates.

Above average computer skills strongly preferred. Must be
proficient in major Microsoft "Office Suite" software programs
(Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with conducting product training or educational
seminar presentations.

Self motivator with strong organizational skills and follow up
habits.

Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and exercise
effective time management.
