VingCard
VingCard's success can be attributed to an ideal combination of tradition and technology. Our parent Norwegian company began making high-quality door locks in 1864. In the 140+ years since, VingCard has been responsible for transforming lock-making from a simple craft into multi-billion dollar, high-tech industry. Although our product line has expanded greatly, locks continue to be the core of our business and we are still setting the standards for the industry.
In 1979, the first recodable lock was exported to the U.S. for installation at the Westin Peachtree Plaza, in Atlanta, Georgia. At this time, the 1,100-room, 73-floor skyscraper was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest hotel in the world. Since the monumental success of that first project, VingCard has installed millions of card locks in thousands of hotel properties and cruise ships around the globe – far more than all other locking systems combined.
Today, VingCard offers a variety of locking and access control solutions for any size property, including hardware and software systems. Product development takes place at the company's headquarters in Norway. Our dynamic R&D team is dedicated to creating innovative solutions to security challenges, which are identified in close collaboration and with feedback from the hotel industry worldwide.
Elsafe
Why install in-room electronic safes? To a criminal, hotel guests are ideal targets. The smart thief knows that leisure travelers often carry large amounts of cash, and are in a relaxed state of mind. Business travelers, on the other hand, are often busy, tired and distracted. Either way, they are prime prospects for theft. To make matters worse, today's business travelers are carrying with them increasingly valuable electronics, such as laptop computers, hand-held PC's and a variety of peripheral equipment. If these items are stolen, the lost data can be an even greater loss to your guest than the equipment itself. In many cases, it is irreplaceable.
Once a guest checks in to a hotel, their belongings become partially the property's responsibility. If appropriate security measures are not provided, the property owner can be held liable for any loss, costing potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in property reimbursements, insurance and legal fees. The labor cost of increased security staff can also be detrimental to the bottom line. Luckily, there is a simple solution - in-room electronic safes. By providing a convenient way for your guests to secure their valuables right inside their guestroom, you are increasing not their security, but their peace of mind. There is no greater amenity you can offer your guests than that.
Currently, Elsafe products are installed in millions of hotel rooms and cruise ship cabins around the globe. Used by virtually every major hotel chain in over 130 countries, Elsafe is the most trusted name in guestroom security.
